Soo... what's our house like?

We have a great entryway. Double door entry with a big porch that leads into a foyer that looks on to the atrium. There is a covered breezeway that leads from the front driveway to the front door.

We did not put in 'wood' floors because it just is not practical in the island so opted for Pergo flooring throughout, (except in bathrooms).

In both the bathrooms we chose a high quality fixtures.

We added ceramic tile floors, shower/bath stalls as well as both sinks. There is a Jacuzzi in master bath with sink area in the dressing room. A clear glass shower door is in the 2nd bath.

Black granite in kitchen with black smooth top stove, black fridge, dishwasher and oven create a very hip look. We did not go with the Stainless because we noticed in the store that yes indeed they do get fingerprints and that was not appealing to us.

In the master bedroom we have pre-organized closets as well as in the 'dressing room' which includes drawers and shelve. Pre-organized shelve are NOT done in rubber coated wire but in wood making for a lasting and cleaner design.

Built in Bonus in our home is the built in china cabinet in the dining area as well as the drawers and shelves in the master bedroom, already mentioned.

We furnished this house with a minimalist approach so that the buyer might be able to envision their own furnishing in the home.

Grass and mature landscaping is abundant around this architect designed home. The yard is fully fenced with locking gate. Mac nut, mango, avocado, cotton candy, coconut, sequoia pines trees, gingers, orchids,ti leaf plants, ferns, and many other tropical flowers. Lava rock walls are throughout the yard.

This is not a 'kit home'! The house is a U shape with an Atrium and koi pond in the middle. Upon entering the house one looks onto the atrium as well, which is seen in almost every room.

Other attributes:

Double garage with side workshop area and full bath. Out buildings, COUNTY WATER, partially set up for catchment, SOLAR PANEL, fully covered paved breezeway from paved driveway to wide four step stairway that meets double door entry.

Central Vacuum - Plumbing (so to speak) There is an outlet in each room, a little square box on the wall that has a lid that pulls up. Inside there is a hole for a vacuum hose. Under the house there is a thing that looks like a barrel where the dust and dirt from the vacuum goes.

Nanawale Community pool, community house, the basketball court/park, surfing, groceries, pharmacy, restaurants, gift shops, schools, churches, 10-15 minutes away.

The town of Pahoa also has an amazing Olympic size pool and Community Center.

NOTE: While some people seek out Hilo area for convenience because of shopping, etc., Keep in mind that Pahoa has convenience of shopping and restaurants too, yes many of the same attributes. It hosts the quaint old part of Pahoa as well as its new shopping center.

Mahalo nui and remember if you are in the neighborhood be sure and stop by!

"Divorce and Broken Relationships - Wings Left on the Ground , Forever Wondering"

I am the stem of a flower
the road home.
I am a walk in an English garden.
I am every goodnight story
that you can barely remember.
I am a caring stroke across your forehead.
I am a gentle breeze
through an open window.

I am waiting...
still
to find those sentiments
those folds within the daylight
that remind me I am still breathing.

You might disagree,
but circumstances bleed
a pitiful shade of neon blue.
Neon envelopes the mind
creates a mood swing
oft times too difficult to recover from.
Pitiful wings
left on the ground
forever wondering
if they ever knew flight at all.

Let me hold your hand
or will you hold mine?
Late at night as I lie awake
mistaken about my goals
left over from a whim
and a shadow forming an ill-defined truth.

What treasures are left
I do not know.
I can only tap into a blinded memory.
I forgot to water those petals
vulnerable flower
on the end of a stem
weakened at midnight.

Soft spoken objections
where do we find our voice?
Inside a classic fairy tale
or a statue of grim reaper?
Somehow...
Ophelia is still hopeful
and never met the river at all.

If the end justifies the means
let me reach
unencumbered
toward that dangling hope.
Put a band aid over your own mouth
if you choose
but know it was always me
who needed time to recover.

Did you hear my voice
calling out for you?
Because I confess
the only voice I hear is yours.

What happened to my story
and me?

Angel of death
bring me a fresh palette
let me restore what I once blessed
took in my arms
and felt soothed by.

Let me be
the stem of a flower
the road home
a walk in an English garden.
Enlighten me
refresh my goodnight story
that neither one of us can remember
clearly.
Stroke my forehead
will you?
I need to feel that gentle breeze
through an open window.

I am waiting...
still.

I Am Stunned By Your Obsession, Yet It Becomes You and the Monsters In My Closet

I am stunned by your obsession,
it makes me feel plain and completely uninteresting,
a mirror without reflection,
a watch with no hands
a mountain with no view
a match that refused to light up
an ocean dark, but without depth.

Long walks on the beach
temperance
chances to find me
past who I think I should be.
I am somewhere in the distant past
on the brink of the future
if I stand still I can hear me breathing...
just now.

I've adjusted ?
It's not as if I would not cower if challenged.
I seem tranquil ?
That's what my drawings think
when signatures are engraved.
Worries feel disposable?
No I am afraid... not ever.

I have met my lace rimmed jar
creatures inside
tokens of me
limping
seeking out a more refined timeline.
They pause
stubborn little soldiers they are.
I breathe inside the moment
yet within my circle
treasures are unsaid
and oft times undone.
Viewed and dismissed
as an empty
well scheduled atonement
fleeing and forever blind.

I must take a second look
I am that discerning eye
eyes not blind forever
only hearts find that much emptiness.

Sometimes it's a good thing
pretending to lose ones way.
Is that pretend?
I confess to be laughing out loud.

There
I've said it
stretched my blanket out across the table
I am completely uncovered.

Mistress of dance
I have known your late hours
felt jealous.
I lied
when to say I have not.

I nearly missed that preoccupied motion
steps I simple misplaced.
Oh my god
this screaming monster
I have created in these words.
It's all so timely
reminding me
I recognize the passion
it is mine own.
Monsters in the closet
laughing
sometimes frightening.
More blood on my pillow
ripping into my ears
let it rest.

I will get back to my canvas
or clay meeting my fingers
try to predict the outcome
fold in sacred meanings blasting with color.

Your obsession has brought me to this place
I'd like to say that it is golden
yes
it is of course.
I know my own monsters
and they are friends of mine.
